Nikolay has recently sold our apartment for us in Bansko, Bulgaria.  We have been looking to sell for at least two years and have had other agents try to sell it on our behalf, with no success. 

I was introduced to Nikolay about a year ago and he took on the task of selling our apartment.  I knew that it would not be easy to sell, but Nikolay has persevered and has reached out to numerous clients on our behalf over the last 12 months. 

I was reassured by regular updates from Nikolay, as and when he had showed our apartment to prospective buyers. 

It is a daunting prospect, to sell an apartment from overseas, using agents you don’t know.  However, Nikolay quickly established a good rapport with me and I felt I could really trust him early on.

Nikolay has excellent communication skills and was really good at keeping me regularly updated, whether it be on weekends or evenings.  I found Nikolay to be very responsive when I emailed him and would respond very quickly on most occasions, unless he was out of town on business. 

I understood that it would not be a quick sale and it did take nearly twelve months to find the right buyer, but I’m pleased to say that Nikolay persevered and finally found someone who wanted our apartment.  Whilst we have had made a huge loss on what we paid originally (due to the market over the last ten years), Nikolay did his best to negotiate the best possible price for us, which we were very happy with. 

In terms of the sale process, Nikolay appointed a very good solicitor who handled everything for us and the sale went through within three weeks, with very little input needed from us. 

I would highly recommend Nikolay and his company as a trustworthy, honest agent who will do his best on your behalf.

Having decided to purchase a property in the Bansko region of Bulgaria we began to short list some properties and arrange viewings with the respective agents. We arranged a long weekend to visit the area and view the properties. We contacted three agents in total and arranged to meet them when we arrived to view the properties that we had selected. One of the agents only seemed interested in selling us one property that we had not even asked to look at. The second agent had none of the properties that we had selected available when we arrived in Bulgaria despite us sending them a list in advance so they spent a morning showing us several other properties. Nikolay from Bulgarian Ski Properties was the only agent to show us exactly what we had asked him to see. Ultimately we purchased one of these properties, not only because of the property but also we felt comfortable with Nikolay.

Having never purchased a property abroad before we were a little nervous and as we do not speak Bulgarian it was a little daunting but Nikolay was available via phone and email to answer any questions whenever we had any. Nikolay also put us in touch with a Bulgarian Lawyer who dealt with the purchase on our behalf and who was also extremely helpful throughout the process. We have purchased houses in the UK and the Bulgarian purchase was a lot less hassle than some of these have been thanks to the help and guidance of Nikolay. I recently purchased a Bansko property through Nikolay Zhelev of Bulgarian Ski Properties and I couldn’t have been happier with the service and smoothness of process.

Because I had visited Bansko before I had a good idea of the area and type of property I was seeking, and so when I saw such a property on the Bulgarian Ski Properties website – and that similar ones were selling fast, and I was 2 weeks from visiting Bansko again – I decided to put a deposit down on it based upon the video, photos and description; I felt confident enough to do so because of the professionalism and fast responses from Nikolay.
